ORTLOFF’S PREPARATORY SCHOOL

Curriculum

Ortloff’s adheres to the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS) of the Department of Education of South Africa.

A private Christian school, we strive to educate the pupils of The Word of God, teaching them Christian morals, making it easier for them to conquer any circumstances which may come over their paths as individuals.

Principal Lindie starts each day with scripture reading and prayer. She prepares passionate lessons from The Bible, and learners get the opportunity to interact and ask questions. As a Christian school, we believe that starting the day with the Word of God leads to success and reaching any goal set.

Chess lessons are also incorporated in our curriculum. Learning to play chess sharpens critical thinking, boosts problem-solving skills, and enhances concentration. It teaches patience, strategic planning, and resilience through wins and losses. Chess also fosters creativity and improves memory, making it a fun, lifelong tool for personal growth.

Classrooms

Our modern classrooms foster a nurturing environment. Equipped with interactive boards, these spaces support dynamic lessons, multimedia engagement, and collaborative learning.
